Tell Ty Volume 11!

Yep, it finally happened! I finally ran out of things to write about the jam. I suppose this post could be vaguely linked to jamdom as the two musicians I am featuring in this volume of Tell Ty are both going to be rocking out at the Dallas Jam!

I will skip the shaming of those who are not regular readers of the blog and assume that you will go back and read EVERY SINGLE previous post. I will give you THIS. It just so happens to be a link to the last Tell Ty that I know you are itching to read. Then again, maybe you are just itching and you should really get that checked out but you can catch up on the older posts while you wait in the doctor’s office!

Tell Ty Vol 11

For most of the readers of this blog summer has arrived with a vengeance. It is hotter than balls in a lot of places. If you are wondering how hot that is….well… just have to find out for yourself. You know what else is hot? The couple that I am about to hit you with. They are musicians, dual streamers, partners, gamer baes and probably a few other things I don’t even want to think about.

J Lively

  1. Tell me something random.                                                                                      If the planet earth was 0,6 miles closer to the sun it would Burn, if it was 0,6 miles further away from the sun it would freeze making it uninhabitable.
  2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.                                             I have a scar on my back from a skiing accident
  3. Tell me something that not everyone would know about you.                                   I used to be afraid of butterflies and dead leaves as a toddler

After sending me to reply to the first statement J felt the need to add “i bet you didnt think it was going to be something educational betch”. And dammit if she wasn’t correct! I did not think it would be something so sciencey!

  1. Tell me something random.                                                                                  First thing that I thought was drummer from Def Leppard only has one arm.
  2. Tell me something that you think I should know about you.                                      I hate socks.
  3. Tell me something not everyone knows about you.                                                  I am like a snowflake one of a kind just like everyone else.

And now I am picturing a one armed snowflake with bare feet. I am positive that is what he wanted to happen too.

Now you know just a nugget more about SL’s musical love birds! Incidentally, they are also one of the few couples in SL that do not make me throw up a little in my mouth.

Tell Ty Vol 10!

I know, I know. “But Ty, you JUST did a Tell Ty!” I sure as shoot did, and I might do another one after this one. Heck, this blog might be nothing but Tell Ty from here on out!* That is the fantastic thing about writing a blog. It can be about anything I want it to be!**

So here we are with another installment of the always entertaining, sometimes educational, Tell Ty! Not up to date on the older ones or have no idea what I am talking about? First, shame on you! Second, you can find links to the oldies but goodies Vol 3, Vol 4, Vol 5, Vol 6, Vol 7, Vol 8, Vol 9, the other Vol 9 because I cannot count! Volumes 1 and 2 are missing in action sucked into the interweb abyss somewhere.

This round we are going to concentrate on some of the faces you see around After Dark. Not the musicians or the staff, but those who are out there shaking it, enjoying the tunage, perving the profiles of others. The amazing patrons of After Dark Lounge! I know that I normally give a little blurb about each person before I share their replies, but this one is going to be a little different. Some of these people are my friends, some of them are people I have greeted time and time again and some of them are people that I might never have said a “hello” to….until now!

Tell Ty Volume 10!

Keith Ringgold

  1. Tell me something random.                                                                           uhhhhhh okay…… random…..  I pooped today?… no no.. wait.. I can do better than that…..  My HAIR is better than yours… no no.. to confrontational…. OH.. I know.. I had COFFEE for the first time in DAYS!
  2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.                                        oh… okay… well… I used to be heavy in Star Wars, even owning a SL sim called Nar Shaddaa?
  3. Tell me something that not everyone knows about you.                                          I initially built a girl avatar to help show my daughter how a young girl SHOULD dress……. I dont know about that one…

I just want to say that I would NOT want my daughter dressing like more than half of the female avatars in SL, including my own!

Naomi Annabella

  1. Tell me something random.                                                                                  Roasted garlic with goats’ cheese and a bit of fig jam on toasted pita bread is probably the most mouth watering orgasm you could ever experience.  Is that random enough?  LOL
  2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.                                          Tough one.  I am 100% ambidextrous and can verbally spell words backwards.  Always could!  Almost skipped two grades growing up because of it, however my mother wouldn’t allow it.
  3. Tell me something that not everyone knows about you.                                           I lived in Spain for a year and worked riding horses on the beach – a riding assistant for a small boutique Spanish (high end) ranch that hosted a maximum of 8 international guests per week.  I lived in a hamlet far, far away from society filled with Spanish guitar, Flamenco, paella and lots and lots of red wine and gorgeous sunsets.  I was on horseback 6 days a week for 6-8 hours a day.  I’m not sure coming home to finish my English degree was worth it. That experience made me the person I am today and I STILL dream in Spanish <3

I dreamed in Spanish once, boy oh boy was I confused!

Really Ansome

  1. Tell me something random.                                                                                Cashews are the greatest things on the planet.
  2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.                                            It hurts to know I have a greeting ban on me at one of my favourite venues.
  3. Tell me something that not everyone knows about you.                                        I’m not really a complete asshole.  Just sometimes 🙂

I would just like to state for the record that I did not choose the picture used for Really’s reply. He sent it to me when I asked if he had a photo he would like me to use. Swear on a rock!

R. Crap Mariner

  1. Tell me something random.                                                                                     How do you saw The Pope’s hat in half? Use a mitre saw.
  2. Tell me something that you think I should know about you.                                      I don’t like doing interviews. I prefer to let my writing speak for itself.
  3. Tell me something not everyone knows about you.                                                   No.

Boom! There you have it! Another volume of Tell Ty is in the books. Now if you need me, I will be over here working on my counting….smh.

♥ Ty

* It will not be all Tell Ty from here on out. I promise                                                        ** Within reason…  has to reel me in from time to time.

Tell Ty Vol 9 AND How’d You Get Here Vol 5!

What?!?!?! A Tell Ty AND a How’d You Get Here in the same post! Has the world gone crazycakes! Actually, it has, but that has nothing to do with this post. You know the drill when it comes to both of these much anticipated types of posts. If you don’t then shame on you! Once you realize what you have done feel free to click here and here to find the lists of previous volumes.

She is an icon in her own right. You have seen her at After Dark many a time and at the helm of Guerilla Burlesque. Her image is featured on the After Dark show posters that you see plastered on Facebook. She is a director, producer, photographer, DJ, writer, dancer, explorer and the matriarch of Idle Rogue. She is the one, the only cherryblonde Scribe, aka Cherry to many.  .
As Idle Rogue celebrates its 6th year of greatness on the grid, there is no better way to honor that than by featuring the fearless leader. On a side note, if you have never explored Idle Rogue outside of After Dark, you need to. The sim is utterly amazing. Get out, wander a bit. It is well worth it!
Tell Ty Volume 10
1. Tell me something random.
10-20% of women have never experienced an orgasm. This is a travesty.
2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.
I’m not very good at “random”
3. Tell me something that not everyone know about you.
I once made a valve guide for a Harley Davidson to 0.00+/- tolerance. I have also cleaned up a game of pool from the break and topped out on 180 in a game of darts. I have a misspent youth 😉
I have to agree, the fact behind the random statement is a travesty! Those poor things! I would also like to add that there is nothing wrong with a misspent youth when said youth becomes as amazing as cherry is as an adult.
How’d You Get Here Volume 5
Curiously, when I first logged on to Second Life, the major Australian telco had a portal and their own sim, and many Australians came to SL through The Ponds Estate. Because they’re a corporate entity, they didn’t allow music streaming on-sim, you had to listen externally to DJs and they didn’t have live musicians. It didn’t take long to break out of the walled garden though!
I had been to a few musicians but hadn’t really taken to it – surprisingly, because music is my passion – when I got a notice from an art gallery for a live music event. It was JimmyT49 Dukes, and my entire world, in both lives, changed right there. I had been at home with my youngest child for 6 years, and was missing live music in ways that pervaded everything … and listening to Jimmy Dukes, I realised, I could have it back, I could go to live concerts and hear great music.
There’s not as much of the kind of live music I like in Second Life, I’m a rock chick and I love the band sound, which is hard to do and not lucrative enough to draw the kind of talent I dream about. But I’ll wait 😉
Cherry also asked that I add the following statement:
please like me on facebook, I need a friend
You really should. She posts interesting things……..not the drivel you see all too often on social media!

Fun, frivolity and other F-words

I have been writing this blog for about 2.5 years. I have been a patron at After Dark for 6 months to a year more than that. I write silliness, frivolity, the occasional complete and utter bullsh*t that I make up in my twisted little mind and every once in a while something that is serious or touching. The silliness and frivolity are what make me happiest and dammit, I want some happiness right now!

I am not just a total goofball who comes up with this stuff out of no where. No! I am a partial goofball that is inspired by her environment. The level of musical awesome that can be witnessed at After Dark is, no doubt, mind boggling. The level of insanity that takes place at After Dark, aside from the music is the kind of stuff that makes me laugh till I have tears in my eyes and by belly hurts. I have seen things, read things, hell, done things at After Dark that cannot be (and never should be) unseen, unread or undone!

Let’s play a little game! Ever heard of 2 Truths and a Lie? If you have not the name pretty much lays it out there. Three statements are given. Two of them are true and one is a lie. Easy peasy! Here we go!

1. I have overheard in local chat at After Dark:

  1. “lol Brady it’s a tip jar not a thong”
  2. “Giraffes and rats can last longer without water than camels.”
  3. ” i crash like a nearsighted grandpa on ambien”

2. I have experienced the following griefing at After Dark:

  1. Flying hamburgers
  2. The floor constantly moving sideways and taking the people in the club with it
  3. An audio takeover where the live music was replaced with Kenny G

3. I have witnessed at After Dark:

  1. A musician performing a heartfelt tribute to their recently deceased goldfish
  2. A musician performing as Oscar the Grouch
  3. A musician streaking during another musician’s set

4. I have also witnessed at After Dark:

  1. A patron table dancing in the back of the club for two gentlemen
  2. A patron leading a marching band through the club
  3. A patron just plain forgetting to wear pants

5. As if those were not enough, I have additionally witnessed at After Dark:

  1. A man trying on women’s hair at the request of the owner
  2. Patrons dressed as a piñata, a bunny, Santa, a skeleton and an angel
  3. Meegan showing zero skin from the neck down

6. Things I have done at After Dark

  1. Traded “favors” for half a ham sandwich
  2. Twerked while dressed as a nun
  3. Danced with an inflatable doll while dressed as a canned adult beverage

And a bonus question!!!!!

7 Things I have learned at After Dark

  1. True love is fried chicken and a blow job.
  2. Playing the udu is not as dirty as it sounds
  3. Quantum physics

So… do you think you did? Were the lies easy to pick out, or did you struggle with which to choose as well as with putting your brain around half of the statements you just read? I will give you the answers in a moment, but first I think we need to take the time to reflect on how amazing it is that most of the statements above are true! Seriously, there is a lot of truth up there and it is wonderful insanity!

The lies are as follows:

  1. “Giraffes and rats can last longer without water than camels.”
  2. An audio takeover where the live music was replaced with Kenny G
  3. A musician performing a heartfelt tribute to their recently deceased goldfish
  4. A patron leading a marching band through the club
  5. Meegan showing zero skin from the neck down
  6. Traded “favors” for half a ham sandwich
  7. Quantum physics

If you got 1-3 of the lies right then you have either never been to After Dark or you need to start paying attention to your surroundings. If you got 4-6 of the lies right then you aren’t half bad and probably somewhat well liked by certain people. If you got 7 of the lies right then you are the ultimate, mega-awesome, good time fun person! What did you win? NOTHING! Though you get the satisfaction of knowing that you know things and you can spot a lie from across the grid!

There are times that I sit down to write this blog, I take my quill in hand and ink the tip (just the tip) and as I set the pen to paper I think “What the crap am I going to write about today?”. Then a barrage of things come to mind, and on occasion one or two of them is appropriate content for our readers. Most are utter trash or filth. As I sat down to write this post I was drawing nothing but trash and filth. I know that our readers can appreciate both on a certain level, but we are not even going to delve into that area of my mind! I respect you all too much to subject you to that!

I thought, pondered, mulled, ruminated, speculated and mused as to what I would write about. Then I took a nap. All of that thinking is EXHAUSTING! When I awoke from my nap it occurred to me that there is a person at After Dark that has not replied to any of my requests for content. Neither Tell Ty or How’d You Get Here. How dare she! So, I went to Meegan and asked her where the heck were her replies. She told me to talk to her assistant. For those who may not be aware, Meegan has a stunning, delightful and charismatic assistant. Her name is Tyche.

So, since Meegan is “too busy” to answer the requests of the most funnest blogger around, and since that blogger happens to be Meegan’s assistant and loves to make stuff up I present you with the completely false but somewhat silly replies that I, Tyche, have come up with on Meegan’s behalf!

Meegan slacker

1. Tell me something random:                                                                 While it’s up to individual states to determine the color of school buses, most have been painted National School Bus Chrome Yellow since a 1939 national conference recommended it as the shade of choice

2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.                              I learned everything I know about music from a monk who had taken a vow of silence. He had a very, very expressive face.

3. Tell me something that not everyone knows about you.                            I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom!  (Bonus points if you get the reference!)

How’d You Get Here Vol 4.5

How Meegan Danitz got here!

It was a dark and stormy night in SL, so I turned off the rain particles and set the environment to mid-day. Having just finished my shift at the Rusty Buckle I was looking forward to some quality me time, if you know what I mean! Most of my regular haunts were being overrun with newbies for some reason. Maybe they had heard about the “easy” women that were hanging there. Either way, I wanted something different to do. So off to the search I went. Shopping….no. Horseback riding……no. Trolling sims for fine pieces of as……just no! Suddenly out of the blue, a tiny avatar appeared in front of me and gestured “Follow me if you dare!” I am never one to turn down a dare, so I took the TP. I found myself in a magical land of gyrating pelvises, flailing arms, smiling faces. But this was different than the places where I normally saw those kinds of things. These people were clothed and there was amazing music playing. I asked the tiny avi where I was and where that lovely music was coming from. It replied “You are home, this is live music in SL and you belong here!”

I never looked back. Well, I did a few times but there was this weird dude who could not get the couples balls in the right place and kept dancing all over me whenever he would dip his lady friend.

There you have it! Meegan’s replies as told from the mind of Ty. I would like to note that no Meegans were harmed in the writing of this blog and everything above is completely made up!

How’d you get here? Vol. 2!

you are hereI got to get my ramble on in the first volume of Who’d You Get Here? and I had a lot of fun with it. Now it is time to turn it over to other and see what their stories are. Putting together this feature is a blast! Work should not be this much fun, but don’t tell Meegan that! If you are new to the blog or need a refresher, this will be a recurring feature on the blog where we find out about how people, both musicians and patrons, came to discover the music scene in SL.I love hearing these stories and I hope that you will enjoy them as well. I would like to give a big thank you to all of those who have already accepted my request to participate, without you all this would be nothing!

I know that I asked for a few sentences or a short paragraph about one’s first time attending a live show in SL. And I know that I did not follow the guideline of keeping it short when I wrote mine. Neither did Vinnie! I am glad he did not, it is well worth the read and gives a good look into the power that the live music scene has in SL. Seriously, reading this gives me warm fuzzies, which it not to be confused with tingles, just sayin’. (The following is posted exactly as it was sent to me, no editing on my part.)

Vinnie SL12B

You can catch The Vinnie Show every other Sunday, 10pm @ After Dark.

OK here’s the story of “My First Time”:
I’m a RL musician, that’s my trade. I’m a working drummer who also sings. Besides playing in a band for a living, I also teach drums and percussion at a local music store and I’m contracted to go out to several schools as a marching band percussion advisor, instructor, and consultant. Playing guitar has been my main “hobby” since my teen years. I’ve used the guitar as a songwriting tool and for recording, but I’m not a seasoned or experienced guitarist in RL. Instead, I found an outlet on the Internet. I was able to go to a musicians’ chat room on Paltalk where I was allowed to play my guitar and sing in a “pass the mic” format. It was there I met Lexie Smith who became a loyal and trusted friend. Around 2006 she introduced me to Second Life – said I could do hour-long shows and showcase my original songs as well as my favorite covers. I joined and tried to make sense of it….but I couldn’t move, my computer froze up. All I could see was a naked guy standing with his arms outstretched. It took until 2008 before I had adequate computer equipment to run SL. My account still existed and I began coming to SL to poke around. By chance, I ran into Lexie there. Here’s where “My First Time” begins.
Lexie immediately took me to a show (I can’t remember the venue, but it no longer exists) featuring an artist called Zorch Boomhauer (now known as Jack Kinagree). My first impression was “why did she bring me to hear this guy? He’s got this nasal voice and sounds rough around the edges”. I was not captivated by what I was hearing – it was uncomfortable and unfamiliar – all original material. Suddenly, he performed a song called “The Stubborn Old Man” and I experienced an emotional transformation that can only be compared to that moment of “falling in love”. It was a thunderbolt – that song shot through me like electricity. Suddenly, once I recovered from the emotional shock to my system, my mental channels were opened to listen to his songs more intimately. Next came a song called “Da Troof”…..a clever pseudo-comical poke at musicians in general. I was amused and entertained. Next came an absolute masterpiece called “The Harper Dongal”. Whatever was happening, it hadn’t happened to me for a long, long time. I remembered hearing Beatles for the first time. I remembered hearing Yes for the first time. The material was THAT strong. Finally, Zorch closed with “Dance On the Edge of a Sword” and I was hooked for life. What I had initially interpreted as a nasal delivery and “rough around the edges” turned into a Dylanesque view of the world that still makes me dizzy when I think about it.
That day – “My First Time” – I discovered one of the most meaningful songwriters I’ve ever known. Had it not been for Lexie & Second Life I’d have never known Zorch’s music. Later, “Zorch” (Jack Kinagree) became an important friend and trusted mentor. More than all that, he has been an inspiration. He helped me get my start in SL as a performer in my own right. Like an elder brother he has given me insight for which I shall be forever grateful. Please do yourselves a favor and peek in on Jack Kinagree in SL – solo or with he & Lexie’s group project Kinagree-Smith. If you listen closely enough – with open heart & mind – you may be subject to my fate – an incurable Zorch-a-holic for life!
Best Always,
Vinnie (Acoustic Rhapsody)
p.s. – Thanks to Ty for inspiring me to remember this remarkable experience.
If that does not make you remember how awesome the power of music is, then you must not have a soul and I am not sure we can be friends! Thank you, Vinnie, for sharing your wonderful trip down memory lane with us!

Tell Ty Volume 7!

You know the drill! I make the three requests and the artists give me their replies. Sometimes they are deep thoughts, sometimes they are silly and sometimes they just leave you scratching your head and saying “Where the heck did they come up with that?!?”. If you do not know the drill or would just like to take a trip down memory lane you can check out the previous volumes of Tell Ty here:

Vinnie SL12B

                                                               The Vinnie Show

First up we have Vinnie of The Vinnie Show. He is one of the newest additions to the regular lineup at After Dark Lounge. Vinnie brings good time and both originals and covers to his sets. We are thrilled to have him joining us at After Dark!

1. Tell me something random.
Dom was walking to the bakery and suddenly a truck came out of nowhere and RANDOM off the street.

2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.
I stopped maturing emotionally and mentally at approx. age 14.

3. Tell me something that not everyone knows about you.
I don’t have a belly button.

I can only assume based on the reply to number 3 that Vinnie was hatched from an egg. Seems logical enough to me!

Phemie Alcott Profile 2

                           Phemie Alcott

Up next we have the lovely and talented Phemie Alcott! Phemie is far from new to the After Dark Lounge lineup, she has been a regular with us for quite a long while! She tickles the ivories with a combination of covers and originals from her EP Raising the Black.

1. Tell me something random.     i really love strawberry shortcake
2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.  that i’m working on another EP i’d like to release next year in 2016!
3. Tell me something that not everyone know about you.   I am a cancer survivor! 🙂

I am positive that I am not the only one excited to hear that Phemie is working on another EP!!!!!

Rounding out this installment of Tell Ty is Mr. Lyndon Heart. Lyndon has been a staple on the SL music scene for more than a bit, and he has always been willing to stand in at After Dark Lounge no matter how last minute we approached him! Lyndon recently joined out regular schedule and we are loving it!

1. Tell me something random. I love kumquats
2. Tell me something you think I should know about you. I’m afraid of crows
3. Tell me something that not everyone know about you. I have a hit 45 on the interwebs from the 60’s

C’mon, I know you giggled when you read kumquats. Ok, maybe it was just me, but like Vinnie I seemed to have stopped maturing at age 14!

Until next time!

Tell Ty Volume 6!

everyone-seems-normal-until-you-get-to-know-themIt is once again the time to be told! You know you have missed it, go with it, embrace it, it is ok…….you know you want to! Obligatory recap! If you are new to the blog (Shame on you….I mean, WELCOME!) you can find the previous installments of Tell Ty here:  1, 2, 3, 4, 5! If you are too lazy to back read, the long and the short of it is that this is a quirky little way to get to know the regular artists that play at After Dark Lounge!

                                                    Stephanniyah Sinatra

Up first in this installment we have the lovely Stephanniyah Sinatra. Stephanniyah is the pint sized woman with a vibrato that can rattle your soul. You can normally catch her at After Dark Lounge every other Sunday at 8pm. Steph was actually one of the very first replies I received when I began Tell Ty, but I am a massive slacker and kept forgetting to snap a pic of her!

1. Tell me something random.                                                                                       I’ve been wearing a tattoo with the name Brian for the last 5 years in sl. There is absolutely no significance to this, I just like telling people I used to love a man….named Brian.

2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.                                              I’m really, REALLY, terrible at editing objects . I’m pretty sure there is a collection of my belongings shoved down in to SL’s middle earth.

3. Tell me something that not everyone know about you.                                              For my first year in sl I had shorty t-rex arms, I’m not proud but I’m not ashamed.

I can’t help but feel there is a man out there named Brian who has a wistful look on his face right now and a large pile of poorly edited objects.

dick and rasp

                                                              Raspbury Rearwin

Up next we have Raspbury Rearwin, or as I like to call him, Rasp Ass. Rasp has been around the SL music scene forever and a day, and was a regular in the crowd at After Dark. Legend according to Rasp is that Meegan would not ask him to play at After Dark. Meegan threw the b.s. flag on that! While Rasp does not have a regular slot at After Dark Lounge he is gracious enough to fill in for us, so long as my boobs do the asking!

1. Tell me something random.                                     supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.                                                  I have never had a 3 way
3. Tell me something that not everyone know about you.                                              I’m 25% Chinese

Being from the Cincinnati area, I was curious whether Rasp meant the food or the sexual kind of 3 way…….but alas, no follow-up is allowed so you can just let your imagination run wild with that one!

Grif After Dark 2

                                                      Grif Bamaisin

Last but never ever least, we have Grif Bamaisin, also known as The Electric Brit. He rocks After Dark with his loud guitar licks every other Thursday. Backed by his band members, the Tamborettes and wearing the funkiest pants that can be found in SL, Grif’s shows keep pixels moving!

1. Tell me something random.                                                                                            I don’t make set lists, but pick songs as i go.
2. Tell me something you think I should know about you.                                                  I am still nervous playing, on new songs my left leg will shake as I sing, making me pitchy.
3. Tell me something that not everyone know about you.                                        I toured with Rick James (Lighting Crew)

Did touring with Rick James turn Grif into a SuperFreak? That might explain the pants!

There it is! Volume 6 is in the books!

Diggin’ the New Digs!

It has been a little more than a week since After Dark made the move to Idle Rogue. Normally when one moves there is an adjustment period. It can take come time to get to know the new neighbors, get a feel for the area. There has been no adjustment period needed for this move. After Dark and Idle Rogue go together like peanut butter and jelly, peas and carrots, Thelma and Louise!

If you have not visited the new After Dark at Idle Rogue you need to! The music venue itself was made to look much like it had at Mai Tai. There have been some very cool additions though. Opposite the venue is a game room featuring Greedy, poker and Cards Against Humanity. Between the two buildings is a lovely courtyard where the one and only Cherryblondescribe hosts her After Dark DJ sessions on Monday nights at 10pm.

I could blather on and on about what a good time we have been having since the move, or I could just show you!

Tell Ty Volume 5!

everyone-seems-normal-until-you-get-to-know-themIt is everyone’s favorite time again! Tell Ty is BACK! It has been a long time, but in my defense, there has been a lot going on at After Dark! Now I know that I normally feature a few people for each volume of our silly little game, but today is different. Today I am featuring only one musician. If you need to play catch up you can view the other installments of Tell Ty here, here, here annnnnnd here!

“But Ty, why does this one musician get their very own Tell Ty?”

I am so glad you asked! There is a very good reason. This musician gets her very own installment of Tell Ty because of the amazing way in which she replied. Now, we all know that there are no wrong answers when it comes to this, but the manner in which the musician was presented with the three simple requests and how she replied to them was nothing short of epic!

                   The Lovely Liz Aday

Let me set the stage for you!

It was 9 o’clock on a Saturday, the regular crowd shuffled in……wait, that is not it, sorry! It was a late night at After Dark and I passed the note card with the Tell Ty info on it to Liz Aday right before she took the stage. She had never seen the questions and had no idea what the whole deal was. Liz started her set then proceeded to have her partner in crime, Glaser (or is it Glazer?), explain the game to her and then ask her the questions as the set continued. Liz gave her answers over the stream and it was so completely perfect! Here are those answers!

1. Tell me something random:  When I was a child I was terrified of shadows of letters and numbers.
2.Tell me something you think I should know about you: I am just a really..ahhhh..a pushover. I am very tenderhearted, A picture of 3 little kittens nursing on little bottles brought me to absolute tears.
3.Tell me something that not everyone knows about you: I am terribly short. I am a short, short person. Like 5 foot 1.

Was she afraid of shadows of letters and numbers because she was so short when she was a child? I like to think so.
